Chelsea to Open Talks for £50m Forward as Transfer Window Heats Up
Chelsea is gearing up to discuss the signing of a highly-rated forward as manager Enzo Maresca looks to bolster the squad amid potential departures, including Christopher Nkunku, who is reportedly close to agreeing personal terms with Bayern Munich....CONTINUE READING>>>
Despite being Chelsea’s top scorer this season with 13 goals and 4 assists in all competitions, Nkunku has struggled to secure regular Premier League starts. Frustrated by his limited role, the 27-year-old is pushing for an exit before the transfer window closes on February 3. Chelsea is reportedly demanding a minimum of £60 million for the French international.
Potential Departures at Stamford Bridge
Nkunku isn’t the only player linked with a move away. Others such as Cesare Casadei, Renato Veiga, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carney Chukwuemeka, Axel Disasi, and João Félix are also rumored to be available if suitable offers come in. The situation has been further complicated by Mykhailo Mudryk’s failed drug test, which has increased Chelsea’s urgency to secure attacking reinforcements.
Targeting Alejandro Garnacho
Chelsea has identified Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho as a potential replacement for Nkunku. The 20-year-old winger has delivered impressive performances this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 5 assists. Valued at £50 million by Manchester United, Garnacho is also attracting interest from Napoli, who recently had a bid for the Argentine rejected.
According to The Telegraph and journalist Matt Law, Chelsea plans to hold talks with Garnacho in the coming days. Both Chelsea and Napoli are reportedly assessing the player’s temperament as part of their evaluations before making formal bids.
Other Targets
In addition to Garnacho, Chelsea is exploring other options, including Bundesliga talents Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Mathys Tel, as they aim to strengthen their attacking options.
With less than two weeks until the transfer window shuts, Chelsea is under pressure to finalize deals that will shape their squad for the remainder of the season.
