Newcastle 1-1 Man City

At St. James’ Park, Anthony Gordon’s second-half penalty secured a draw for Newcastle against Manchester City. City took the lead after 35 minutes with a well-taken finish from defender Josko Gvardiol following a Jack Grealish assist. This draw marks the first time City have dropped points in their previously flawless title run.

Arsenal 4-2 Leicester

Arsenal defeated Leicester in dramatic fashion by scoring twice in stoppage time. A close-range drive by Kai Havertz in the ninth minute of added time and an own goal by Wilfred Ndidi in the 94th minute kept a Foxes team that was within striking distance of an unexpected point at Emirates Stadium. 

Brentford 1-1 West Ham

Chelsea 4-2 Brighton

Chelsea defeated Brighton to move up in the table, and Cole Palmer became the first player to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League match.

Palmer, 22, also struck the crossbar and had another goal disallowed before halftime in an extremely entertaining game as Chelsea’s quick front line took advantage of Brighton’s obstinate insistence on using a high defensive line.
