Mbappe: Messi And Ronaldo Are Irreplaceable In Football

Despite a stellar debut season at Madrid—scoring 30 goals in 43 games—Mbappe insists that the two football icons remain unmatched.

Speaking during his international duty with France, the 26-year-old said:

“I’m not trying to take their place. They are irreplaceable.”

With just two more goals, Mbappe could surpass Ronaldo’s record for the most goals in a debut season at Madrid, a record the Portuguese legend shares with Ruud van Nistelrooy at 33 goals.

However, Mbappe remains humble, acknowledging the impact of Messi and Ronaldo on football history:

“They’re legends who have defined an era. It’s important, but it’s all about numbers. If I score more goals than Ronaldo and Messi, it doesn’t mean I’m bigger, it just means my first season is going better.”

While Messi has scored over 850 career goals, Ronaldo leads the all-time charts with over 920 goals.
