Amorim expressed both excitement and caution about his move, stating, “I’m not naive; I know it’s going to be very different, very difficult.” He highlighted the heightened expectations and intense pressure that come with managing a club like Manchester United, admitting that it will be tough to replicate his success at Sporting under such scrutiny. “I know it will be difficult to reproduce what I have here anywhere else, but there are other places with different exposure and pressure,” he added.

Amorim’s work visa is still pending approval, which should arrive in a few days. This leaves him with limited time during the international break to assess and get to know his new team, as many players will be away on national duty. His first match in charge will be against Ipswich on November 24, marking the start of his new challenge.

The Portuguese coach plans to begin with the 3-4-3 formation that he has successfully used in the past, adjusting it to fit Manchester United’s squad. “I know how I am going to play in the beginning,” Amorim explained. “You have to start with a structure you know, and then adapt.”
