Manchester United 2-0 Everton

United took a crucial step towards securing a top-three finish with a solid performance at Leigh Sports Village. Everton started well and even had an early goal disallowed for handball. However, a mistake from goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan gifted United the opener in the 22nd minute, with Dominique Janssen capitalizing on the error.

Just after halftime, Grace Clinton doubled the lead with a brilliant flick from Leah Galton’s cross. United controlled the rest of the game, and only a fine save from Brosnan denied Melvine Malard a third goal. This win briefly lifted United into second place before Arsenal’s victory later in the day.

Crystal Palace 0-4 Arsenal

Arsenal strengthened their title push with a dominant display against bottom-placed Crystal Palace. Beth Mead reached a personal milestone, scoring her 50th and 51st WSL goals. She opened the scoring with a well-taken volley before Alessia Russo doubled the lead following a precise pass from Mariona Caldentey.

An own goal by Allyson Swaby made it 3-0, and Mead capped off the victory in stoppage time with a stunning strike into the top corner. Arsenal remain six points behind Chelsea and firmly in the title race.

Liverpool 1-2 Aston Villa

Liverpool’s Champions League aspirations suffered a setback as they fell to a determined Aston Villa side. Marie Hobinger put the Reds ahead from the penalty spot after Ceri Holland was fouled in the box. However, Villa fought back, with substitute Kirsty Hanson rounding the goalkeeper to level the match.

The decisive moment came when Jenna Clark accidentally turned Ebony Salmon’s cross into her own net, handing Villa three crucial points. The victory gives Villa a four-point cushion above last-placed Palace and strengthens their survival hopes.

Chelsea 2-2 West Ham

League leaders Chelsea saw their winning run halted after West Ham staged a late comeback at Kingsmeadow. The Blues looked in control early on, with Maika Hamano and Aggie Beever-Jones giving them a two-goal lead within 21 minutes.

However, missed opportunities proved costly, as West Ham found a way back. Shekiera Martinez pulled one back just before halftime, and in dramatic fashion, she struck again in stoppage time with a powerful header to secure a 2-2 draw.

Chelsea remain unbeaten but now see their lead at the top trimmed to six points, giving Arsenal renewed hope in the title race.
