FRSC retrieves N8.6 million from accident scene in Kaduna

Operatives from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kaduna State Sector Command, have recovered N8.6 million at the site of a road accident on the Zaria-Funtua Road.

The Sector Commander, Mr. Kabir Nadabo, confirmed this in a statement released on Monday.

Nadabo explained that the accident occurred around 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 29, 2024, near Area G Samaru, resulting in two people being injured. CONTINUE READING>>>

The crash involved a Ford Pickup truck, registered to the Nigerian Army with plate number FST 134 FX, and a red Toyota Corolla with registration KTN 316 HK.

Nadabo further revealed that the Ford Pickup was traveling towards Funtua when the Toyota Corolla, headed to Zaria, lost control and collided with the army vehicle.

Initial investigations indicated that the crash was caused by speeding and a subsequent loss of control.

Nadabo mentioned that a rescue team from Zebra 55 Shika, led by its head, quickly arrived at the scene to assist.

He noted that three people were involved in the accident. Two were injured, while the third person escaped without injury.

The injured victims were immediately taken to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital in Shika for medical treatment. CONTINUE READING>>>

During the rescue, FRSC officials found N8.6 million at the scene, belonging to the driver of the Toyota Corolla.

Plans are in place to return the money to the owner after he is released from the hospital.
