Police Urge Fubara to Maintain Decorum in Political Pursuits

The Nigeria Police Force has strongly criticized Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, for his remarks against Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. The governor vowed to hold the IG accountable for any breakdown of law and order in the state.

In response, police spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi released a statement advising Fubara to approach his political pursuits with caution and maintain a level of decency. Adejobi emphasized that the police had acted lawfully and professionally in line with a Federal High Court order that restricted police involvement in the Rivers State local government elections.
