This retirement aligns with the church’s updated operational guidelines, called “The Mandate,” which recently lowered the retirement age from 60 to 55.Bishop Abioye is currently 63, while Bishop Aremu is 67, making them both eligible for retirement under the new rules.

The revised law allows Bishop Oyedepo to continue serving for life, while future church leaders will be limited to one or two terms of seven years each, pending approval from the Board of Trustees.continue Reading>>>
