During Thursday’s session, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi (PDP, Kebbi North) addressed the chamber under Senate standing orders 10 and 42, emphasizing the need to debunk the rumors and clear the names of northern senators accused of involvement in the alleged plot.
Abdullahi warned that such baseless publications were damaging to the democratic process and could weaken the institution’s ability to function effectively, especially in the face of national challenges.He urged his colleagues to unite under Akpabio’s leadership, stressing the importance of maintaining the strong bond that had been developed within the Senate over the past 18 months.
