“Troops Eliminate 96 Terrorists and Arrest Key Leader Maisaje”

Nigerian troops have successfully neutralized 96 terrorists as part of their efforts to eliminate criminal elements from the country. This announcement was made by Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, on Friday.continue Reading>>>

In addition to the neutralizations, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) revealed that notorious terrorist leader Usman Maisaje was captured along with 226 other suspected terrorists. Buba noted that Maisaje, a close associate of the infamous terrorist Kachalla Boka, is now providing critical intelligence to assist troops in their ongoing operations.

The DHQ also highlighted significant progress in the fight against oil theft, reporting the arrest of 45 individuals suspected of stealing oil. During these operations, troops dismantled 60 illegal refining sites and recovered over 712,535 liters of stolen crude oil and 76,800 liters of illegally refined diesel, collectively valued at around N712 million.continue Reading>>>

Buba detailed the extensive nature of these operations, stating that they also rescued 157 victims of kidnapping and seized 71 weapons, which included 50 AK-47 rifles and various types of ammunition.

In the Niger Delta region, troops dismantled an additional 60 illegal refining sites and confiscated several items, including boats, drums, and vehicles.

These operations demonstrate the Nigerian military’s ongoing commitment to tackling terrorism and oil theft while ensuring national safety and security. With these recent achievements, the DHQ remains hopeful for continued success in combating criminal activities throughout the country.
