PDP Youth Group Cautions Governor Fubara, Lawmaker Over Continued Criticism of Nyesom Wike

A youth support group within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a strong warning to Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his associates in the National Assembly, urging them to stop their criticisms of Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike.According to Vanguard, the PDP National Progressive Youth Initiative specifically took aim at Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, the House of Representatives member for Ideato North/South, over his repeated criticisms of Wike.Continue Reading>>>...CONTINUE READING>>>

Ugochinyere, an opposition lawmaker, has shown strong support for Fubara and has launched multiple criticisms against Wike. Recently, he accused Wike of allegedly working with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his supporters to legally block Fubara’s access to state funds.

He claimed that these groups were using lawsuits to withhold allocations and LGA funds meant for Rivers State.In response, the PDP youth group, led by Comrade Billy Matthew Nwachukwu and David Terna Gondo, condemned both Fubara and Ugochinyere, accusing them of avoiding accountability and transparency. They claimed the duo failed to conduct proper local government elections.The youth group expressed their frustration, saying they would no longer tolerate attacks on Wike, whom they commended for his contributions to infrastructure development in the FCT.

They further warned that if Ugochinyere continued his campaign against Wike, they might occupy the National Assembly to demand accountability from Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and defend Wike, whom they described as an important figure for Nigeria.
