Addressing the topic, Igho said, “The INEC is saying that they want to reconfigure the BVAS, and there is a case, and they are seeking permission to do so. However, the topic has raised different arguments. Most Nigerians would disagree with INEC, as the process has to be completed before any form of reconfiguration can happen. Before the election, INEC never told Nigerians that they would need to reconfigure the BVAS at some point.

He added, “The BVAS was used in Ekiti, Osun, and possibly Anambra elections, and we did not hear of this reconfiguration. This makes me wonder why this topic is emerging now that two major presidential candidates (Atiku and Peter Obi) are challenging the election outcome.
