INEC gives reason for Postponing the election
INEC has officially announced the postponement of the Governorship and House of Assembly election from March 11 to March 18, 2023. In a statement by the organization on Wednesday night, INEC revealed that the decision was made due to the ruling of the Election Tribunal on the BVARS used during the Presidential election. Obi won the election – Afenifere
Adenifere in a statement has disclosed that Peter Obi of the Labour Party won the just concluded Presidential election. According to them, the decision of INEC to announce Bola Ahmed Tinubu was illegal. They said INEC broke the rules of election and violated the Constitution.
This communique was released after the group held a general meeting at the Isanya-Ogbo, residence of their leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo.
LP, PDP candidates can’t defeat Sanwo-Olu – ex-LASSA boss
Despite the loss of APC in Lagos at the last General elections, The immediate past Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency, Mobolaji Sanusi has said that the LP and PDP candidates cant defeat Sanwo-Olu.
In a statement, he released to PUNCH to declare his support for the governor, He said Lagosians will not be cajoled into voting in an Opposition that lacked the experience to govern the state.
LP Governorship candidate steps down for PDP candidate
As the governorship election gets nearer, the Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Nasarawa state, Joseph Ewuha has stepped down to support PDP candidate, David Ombugadu.
The LP candidate appealed to his followers to vote for PDP in the governorship election as he believes David has the leadership qualities to take the state to greater heights.
