Sola Sobowale goes to India to act her first Bollywood role

Sola Sobowale, one of Nollywood’s most influential veteran actresses has taken to social media to announce a major breakthrough in her career as she announced her first Bollywood role.

Popularly known as “Toyin Tomato”, the multi-talented screen goddess in a post on her Instagram page revealed she would be going to India to join record-breaking Director, Hamisha Daryani Ahuja for her latest project.

The ecstatic “King of Boys” actress noted that she would be travelling to India to film to play a very dynamic role in the project.

She wrote: “I am so excited to announce that I will be working with record breaking Director/Exec Producer, @HamishaDaryaniAhuja on her upcoming project! And… get this….we will be going to India to film! I will be playing a very dynamic role in this project and cannot wait for you to watch it.

Sola Sobowale goes to India to act her first Bollywood role

Sobowale was shot to the limelight when she appeared on Nigeria’s popular television drama series “Super Story: Oh Father, Oh Daughter”.

She is married to Oludotun Sobowale and together, they have four children.

In 2019, she received the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in 2018 Nigerian film: King of Boys.
