Reactions Trail As Sen. Shehu Sani Tweet About Tinubu’s Promise to Follow the Footsteps of Umaru Yar’adua

Tinubu, in a statement yesterday to mark the remembrance of the death of a former Nigerian President, Umaru Musa Yar’adua, promised to follow the footstep of the former Governor of Katsina State.
In his reaction to Tinubu’s remark, Senator Sani wrote via his Twitter handle:
“Following the footsteps of Umaru Yar’adua is better than following the footsteps of Any Aza fesin.”
By “Aza resin,” the senator wrote the words in the Hausa language-influenced pronunciation of the English words, “other person.”
Fellow Nigerians who reacted to the former lawmaker’s tweet did not need to be told who he was alluding to with the words, “aza fesin.” The tone of their reactions demonstrated that. The majority of them agreed with the Senator but reminded him that Tinubu had earlier promised to continue where President Buhari stops.
Some said Tinubu is only trying hard to seek acceptance by promising to follow in the footsteps of Yar’adua. Continue Reading…
