#River State: APC Rep Euphraim Nwuzi remanded in jail for 10 days

A member of Home of Representatives representing Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency Euphraim Nwuzi has been remanded within the jail for 10 days for inciting violence in a viral video.

Nwuzi was arrested by operatives of Rivers State Legal Investigation Division, SCID, over the video through which he was calling for the killing of some individuals.

The Police accused the lawmaker of inciting violence, selling communal disaster, treasonable felony and conspiracy within the costs filed towards him in court docket.

When the case was known as, the Police requested that Nwuzi must be remanded in Police custody till the investigation is accomplished.

The Police prosecutor famous that his assertion within the video may cause violence throughout and after election.

The Presiding Chief Justice of the Peace Amadi Nna after listening to the prosecution counsel remanded Nwuzi in Port Harcourt correctional centre for 10 days.

He adjourned the case to third of March 2023.
