In a trending video shared by Punch, the residents of a Kogi community were seen jubilating as they fill up roads that were excavated by the governor of the state, Yahaya Bello over alleged concerns for insecurity.

The residents of Kogi central Senatorial District were thrown into joy as they hire machines to fill up the road just few hours to the election.

The roads linking the Senatorial were excavated by the Kogi state Governor over concerns about insecurity, thus making it impossible for people to move in or out of the Senatorial District.

The 2023 presidential and Senatorial election holds today and there’s been lot of preparations going on. The government of President Muhammadu Buhari has promised to ensure that there’s a free and fair election and that no one should be intimidated.

He’s followed this up by charging all security agencies involved in the election to carry out their duties without fear or favour. Just yesterday, the EFCC had intercepted two people in Lagos and Porth Harcourt with N32.4m and $500k respectively.
