The announcement of Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential elections came just under 24 hours earlier, according to the Independent National Election Commission.

As President-elect, Mr. Tinubu will receive briefings from the Defense House and attend significant meetings.

Festus Keyamo, the APC PCC’s spokesperson, told our correspondent on Thursday that he was unable to know the time that the President-elect will move into his new residence.

This, however, is not a recent occurrence, as the current president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (ret. ), stayed at the same hotel months before his May 29, 2015, inauguration.

He then relocated to the Aso Rock Palace in Abuja, where he now resides officially.

According to The PUNCH, Tinubu received 8,794,726 votes, placing him ahead of Peter Obi of the Labour Party (6,101,533) and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (6,984,520).

With 1,496,687 votes, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party finished fourth.
