Many Nigerians have begun to react as the Senator-elect for Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu Meets with the current Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu among others.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, an Igbo socio-cultural group had earlier demanded for Senate presidency after the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi was defeated by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The newly elected senators will elect the Senate President of the 10th Assembly in June 2023 after the inauguration of the assembly.
