Some Pastors In Lagos Told Their Church Members That They Should Never Vote For Tinubu – Femi Fani-Kayode

Femi Fani Kayode, a former minister of aviation and current member of the Tinubu/Shettima campaign council, claims that some Christians cast votes for Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election that were anti-Muslim.

This, according to FFK, was the primary factor in Asiwaju’s loss of Lagos State to Peter Obi. He evaluated their chances of winning the governorship election and claimed that since Sanwo-Olu is also a Christian, no religious sentiment can be used to turn people against APC. According to him, Lagos State is still an APC state.

He said

”I know precisely what led to our defeat in Lagos, I know those that worked against us. I know those that played the politics of religion. They went from Church to Church saying that they should not vote for Asiwaju or a Muslim-Muslim. But Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a good Christian and that will not play out in this election.

It wasn’t just a matter of the people from the South East voting for Obi in Lagos. It wasn’t as simple as that, there were individual that was going from Church to Church to campaign against the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
