FCT Police Nab 6 Suspected Armed Robbers in Uncompleted Hospital Building

Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have apprehended six suspected armed robbers.

Spokesperson of the command, SP Josephine Adeh, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, February 9, 2024, said the arrest was made by operatives of the Utako Divisional Headquarters.

According to the PPRO, the suspects were nabbed in an uncompleted hospital building, identified as a marked black spot in Utako village of the city.

The suspects include; Basara Hassan 41, Daniel Charles 27, Adamu Oshiaka 32, Chancy Asidi, 38 and Saliu Al Hassan, 24, all from neighbouring states bordering the FCT. 

“A locally made pistol, two live cartridges and wraps of substances suspected to be marijuana were recovered from the suspects,” the statement read. 

“Further investigation about the recovered ammunition, led to the arrest of one Yusuf Iliyasu a.k.a Tablet, who is an ex-convict and the syndicate leader,” 

“While the investigation is ongoing, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth Igweh assured residents of his unwavering commitment to make Abuja a hell for criminals and to ensure the safety of all,”
