Kogi govt, SDP trade blames over attack on Yahaya Bello’s convoy

It was reported that according to a statement made by Yahaya’ s media aide, Kingsley Fanwo, the governor’ s convoy was attacked at around 12. 30 a. m. on Saturday by individuals who were reportedly Alh. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka supporters.

The Yahaya media team’ s claims that they ” blocked the road and started shooting sporadically at the convoy of Yahaya Bello” was a big lie intended to hide an obvious attempt to assassinate the SDP Governorship candidate, according to a member of the SDP Campaign Organization named Arome Attah who witnessed the attack.

Attah insisted that it would be foolish for a private person to attack the convoy of a governor, especially one who is known for his propensity for violence like Yahaya Bello, with just a few policemen serving as an escort.

He mentioned that there are video recordings that demonstrate that the SDP governorship candidate was intentionally targeted for death during the attack. CONTINUE READING>>>

Attah went on to say that the SDP candidate for governor had left Abuja early on Saturday in order to make courtesy calls on a few paramount rulers in the Koton- Karfe, Lokoja, Idah, and Okene areas of the state, but that his plan had to be abandoned due to the attack.
