Obi is seeking the disqualification of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the APC, and the annulment of his victory in the February 25th election.

In a video uploaded to YouTube, Daddy Freeze expressed his opinion on the matter, stating that if Obi, who came third in the election, succeeds in convincing the court to disqualify Tinubu, it would effectively give power to Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, a northerner. This, in turn, could result in another eight-year wait for power to return to the south.

Around the 25:50 minute mark of the video, Daddy Freeze remarked, “Even if they were to cancel this election five times, Obi would not win. Even if he were to get more votes, he would not be able to attain the 25 percent required in two-thirds of the states. Continue Reading…

Therefore, if Obi manages to disqualify Tinubu, we would be handing power to the north and to Atiku, who would prioritize his own people. I am not insinuating that Atiku is an ineffective leader, I am simply stating that we would have to wait another 8 years before someone from the South could potentially bring power back to the region.”
