Among the four strong candidates running for the position of the Nigerian President, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Asiwaju Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress are the leading candidates.

In recent news reported by the Daily Trust Newspaper, the People’s Democratic Party Candidate has emerged victorious in 20 out of the 30 local government areas in Osun State. On the other hand, the All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, Bola Tinubu, won 10 Local Government areas.

According to the official results announced by the Osun state collation officer, Atiku scored 354,366 votes, while Tinubu scored 343,945 votes out of a total of 756,744 votes cast in the state.

It is worth noting that the collation of results is ongoing, and these results only reflect a portion of the overall outcome of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria.
