Following the loss of the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, in the February 25 presidential elections to his counterpart, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a spokeswoman for the Atiku/Okowa presidential campaign council has come out to castigate the five aggrieved governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, warning them not to gloat over the loss of the PDP candidate in the February 25 general elections since some of them also lost their senatorial elections.

The aggrieved governors, Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), and Samuel Ortom (Benue), all lost their senatorial elections, except Seyi Makinde (Oyo), who is seeking a second term as governor, and Nyesom Wike (Rivers), who never contested.

This statement is coming after Dino Melaye foretold Wike, the Rivers State governor, to “bury his head in shame,” citing how some members of his G-5 group also failed in the just-concluded election.
