The collation officer for Kebbi, Prof. Usman Saidu announced Atiku has the winner of the polls in Kebbi while he was presenting the results in Birnin Kebbi. He claimed that Atiku of the People’s Democratic Congress was able to poll 285,175 votes in Kebbi.

Total registered voters – 1,983,985

Number of accredited voters – 599,201

Total votes cast – 591,475

Total valid votes – 559,522

31,953 votes were rejected.

Out of the 591,475 votes cast

PDP got 285,175 votes

LP got 10,682 votes

APC got 248,088 votes

NNPC 5,038 votes

Alhaji Bala Dole, the Director-General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Kebbi spoke to newsmen shortly after the declaration of the results said he was very happy with the votes according to Punch

He also added that if not for some “little hitches” his party would have gotten more votes. On the other hand, Alhaji Ja’afar Ahmed, an APC agent says that there were issues with the results insisting that the exercise was characterized by violence, late arrival of election materials, and malfunctioning of BIVAS amongst other issues
