Femi Kayode: You'll Proceed to Eat the Soaked Bread you Spoke of as Long as you Oppose Tinubu

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State and the APC’s presidential candidate in 2023, held a marketing campaign rally in January at Sam Okpara Square, where he urged the Igbo to assist elect him as Nigeria’s next leader or risk being fed “a soaked slice of bread” in the future.

In an interview with Vanguard, Okwesilieze Nwodo, the former national chairman of the PDP, responded to the perceived exclusion of Igbos in the President-elect’s 14-man inauguration committee by saying that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has begun distributing the soaking slice of bread to the Igbo.

Femi Fani-Kayode responded to Okwesilieze Nwodo’s comments on the Igbo people on his official Twitter account, saying, “I have always had immense respect for him and his family, but he does not speak for the Igbos.”

When pressed for more detail, Femi Fani-Kayode said that;

“Secondly, as long as you oppose our President-elect and pour scorn on him and our leaders, you will continue to eat the soaked bread you spoke of,” he continued.

Femi Fani-Kayode went on to suggest that Okwesilieze Nwodo would die hungry if he continued to sabotage his governor’s efforts, and that he should stop sowing discord among Nigeria’s ethnic groups by claiming that the Igbos are being systematically exterminated.

The APC leader went on to tell Okwesilieze Nwodo that he has an exceptional family full of brilliant visionaries and well-respected achievers and that he should model his behavior after that of Chimaraoke Nnamani, Hope Uzodimma, David Umahi, and other politicians from the Southeast.

Ultimately, Femi Fani-Kayode declared that, with Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president, Nigeria would enter a new period of peace, joy, unity, and prosperity for all its citizens. Continue Reading…
