"Withdraw your Petition Against Tinubu." Lamidi Apapa's LP faction tells Obi

The Labour Party’s Lamidi Apapa faction on Friday urged the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi, to drop his appeal at the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal owing to a “lack of seriousness.” CONTINUE READING>>>

According to the faction, the counsel was sought as a result of an incident before the Tribunal on Thursday, when the court paused hearing the suit filed by Obi and the Labour Party disputing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory.

At a news conference in Abuja, Abayomi Arabambi, the LP’s factional National Publicity Secretary, addressed these concerns. CONTINUE READING>>>

He told journalists that since the start of PEPT, Obi has been unable to present any relevant evidence to back up his claims.

According to Arabambi, Obi moved to court to contest Tinubu’s victory since he and his allies had different objectives from the Nigerian people as a whole, who freely supported LP.

“We have been following the disgraceful developments and strategy of Peter Obi’s so-called legal team challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission with great interest,” Arabambi stated.

And like many Nigerians, we have come to the conclusion that Obi is not only taking Nigerians for a ride but also plans to keep wasting the hard-earned money provided by Nigerians for this project in order to further his own financial gain.

As a result of Peter Obi’s inability to pay for CTC Form EC08, INEC revealed in court that he would only be able to present 30% of the papers needed for the Election Petition Tribunal hearing.

“How could any sane person appear before an election tribunal with only 30% of the required documentation, none of which would be approved or agreed to be provided by other political parties?” CONTINUE READING>>>

We have argued that Obi isn’t serious, and because of this, the Labour Party is pleading with him to give up his self-serving objective and stop making trouble within the organization if he has nothing noteworthy to say to the tribunal.
