Erik Ten Hag Responds to Manchester United's Loss Against Fulham

Alex Iwobi’s stoppage-time goal secures Fulham’s first away victory since the opening weekend of the 2023/24 football season and their first triumph over Manchester United in any competition since 2009.

The Red Devils were in fantastic form heading into the game against Fulham having defeated Luton Town in their last league game. However, there was a bit of injury concerns for United after Luke Shaw and Rasmus Hojlund were both to ruled out of the game.

United’s manager, Erik Ten Hag expressed his disappointment after the game. According to him, the players gave a fantastic performance and they were determined to win the game.

He said,

“The team showed big character to fight back, we deserved the equaliser and went for the win, we showed big personality and character. You have to see the bigger picture. The bigger picture looks very good.”

The result puts Manchester United in sixth place with 44 points having played 26 games. Manchester United have lost as many Premier League games in 2023/24 (10 in 26) as in Sir Alex Ferguson’s final two seasons in charge combined (10 in 76 games).
