Jaywon Responds to Burna Boy and Eedris Abdulkareem Feud, Labels Both Artists as Arrogant

In the latest update on the ongoing feud between Nigerian artists Burna Boy and veteran Eedris Abdulkareem, fellow musician Jaywon has chimed in, labeling both parties as displaying arrogance during their public altercation.

The rift between Burna Boy and Abdulkareem escalated when Burna Boy criticized Abdulkareem’s health condition on his social media (X) page, attributing it to individuals who had contributed to funding Abdulkareem’s kidney transplant. Responding swiftly, Abdulkareem expressed disappointment at Burna Boy’s remarks, particularly his apparent wish for Abdulkareem’s demise.

Jaywon, in response to the unfolding feud, asserted that Burna Boy’s actions mirror Abdulkareem’s past behavior, which he attributes to Abdulkareem’s lack of recognition within the Nigerian music industry. In a tweet posted on his official page on Saturday, February 17, 2024, Jaywon showcased Abdulkareem’s significant contributions to the Nigerian music landscape, lamenting that his achievements have often been overshadowed by his perceived arrogance. Jaywon emphasized that Burna Boy’s current behavior echoes Abdulkareem’s, implying a cyclical nature to the consequences of arrogance in the industry.

In his tweet, Jaywon stated, “Eedris has contributed a lot to the Nigerian music industry, was he applauded for that, NO and it was all because of his arrogant behavior and that’s exactly what Burna too is doing so when I say ‘what goes around comes around’ is actually for the both of them! Las las everybody go collect. Na just time!! Ire ooo!”

The comments from Jaywon add further fuel to the ongoing discourse surrounding Burna Boy and Abdulkareem’s feud, highlighting broader themes of recognition, behavior, and consequences within the Nigerian music industry.
