APC-aligned CSOs call on opposition candidates to withdraw legal challenges against Tinubu

A group of civil society organizations (CSOs) aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the presidential candidates of the opposition parties to withdraw their legal challenges against the APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>

The group is urging former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, to withdraw their case against President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.

Both Obi and Atiku have been locked in a fierce legal battle, contesting the declaration of Tinubu as the winner of the highly controversial February 25th presidential election. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>

While the cases against the APC candidate are still being heard in court, the CCSO National Coordinator, Lilian Ogbole, shocked the nation by asserting that Tinubu’ s administration was already fulfilling the desires of the other candidates.

Therefore, according to Ogbole, there is no need to continue pursuing the case in court.

This perplexing statement raises questions about the true nature of Tinubu’ s government and its supposed dedication to peace, development, and progress in Nigeria.

Speaking at a press conference held in Abuja, Ogbole emphasized that well- meaning Nigerians and the international community have been showering President Tinubu with praise for his decisive actions in tackling critical national issues.

She further highlighted the transformative reforms, socio- economic policies, and initiatives that the Tinubu- led administration has swiftly implemented within just 30 days of assuming office.

As relief and hope gradually emerge in Nigeria, Ogbole stressed the importance of all stakeholders transcending party lines and embracing this allegedly transformational government of national unity.

The APC group, resolute in its conviction, proclaimed that the victory in the last presidential election was a triumph not only for Nigerians but also for Africa, the entire black race, and humanity at large.

They painted a picture of President Tinubu’ s government as a force capable of reuniting, revitalizing, renewing, and repositioning Nigeria towards an era of uninterrupted progress and prosperity.

Consequently, they passionately called upon all aggrieved candidates to withdraw their litigations against the president and unite with him in the pursuit of a national unity and all- inclusive government.

Despite acknowledging the candidates’ fundamental right to seek redress in a court of law, the coalition urged them to prioritize the national interest above personal grievances.

By aligning with Tinubu’ s purported intentions, they believed the candidates could further synergize to achieve their common patriotic purpose. It is through this cooperative approach, the group argued, that they could demonstrate to the world that their struggles are rooted in the national interest and a quest to restore the dignity of every Nigerian.

In a captivating climax to their plea, the coalition passionately appealed to elder statesmen across the country. They called for a roundtable meeting where all aggrieved parties would be invited, seeking to dissuade them from subverting the will of the people through distracting litigation.

Instead, the group implored them to join forces with the government, which was democratically elected by the Nigerian populace, in their shared mission to rewrite the nation’ s destiny.

As the case unfolds, the nation awaits the response from Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and other opposition figures. Will they succumb to the allure of this mysterious plea? What could be the true motives behind this unexpected call to withdraw their cases against Tinubu?

The suspense lingers as the future of Nigerian politics hangs in the balance, leaving the citizens to wonder if they are witnessing a significant turning point in the nation’ s history or if there are hidden agendas yet to be revealed. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>
