According to the report from Daily Trust, Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the gruesome killing of Chief Oyibo Chukwu who is the Labour Party (LP) Senatorial candidate for Enugu East Senatorial district and his aide.

According to the report, President Muhammadu Buhari in a statement issued on Friday by his spokesman, Femi Adesina. Buhari said the security agencies should make sure they track down the culprits of the heinous crime.

President Buhari believes that the perpetrators of the ignoble act in Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State had no respect for the life and dignity of human beings. Buhari added that the perpetrators deserve the wrath of natural and divine justice.

Moreover, President Buhari affirmed his avowed commitment to an election devoid of violence and rancour.

In addition, Buhari urged all eligible Nigerians to exercise their civic rights without any fear of intimidation.
