2023 Election: Do not use MC Oluomo to transport Lagos election materials – Court tells INEC

The Federal High Court Lagos State has summoned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to employ the services of Mr. Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as ‘ MC Oluomo ‘ within the State during the forthcoming general elections which will commence in few hours time. This was recently made known by Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke while giving his final verdict on the suit filed by the Labour Party and its Governorship candidate for Lagos State, Mr. Gbadebo Rhodes Favour.

The verdict reads: ” The order of perpetual injunction prevents INEC and/or their privies or any persons acting under their directions from contracting, partnering or appointing Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, Lagos State Parks Management Committee or any of its members or drivers to distribute 2023 election materials and personnel in Lagos State”.

Recall that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had earlier called on INEC to remove Mr. Olusegun Agbaje, the Residential Electoral Commissioner (REC) for Lagos State, stressing that he was planning to compromise the election with MC Oluomo
