Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Premier League star, Sergio Aguero after his contract with Manchester City expired.
The Argentine striker becomes the La Liga giants first summer signing after previous reports have been linking him with a move to the Catalans.
The former Atletico Madrid striker will link up with his fellow countryman Lionel Messi at Barcelona as he hope to continue his football career in Spain.
Barcelona confirmed Sergio Aguero’s signing on Monday afternoon with an official statement released on their website.
“FC Barcelona and Sergio ‘Kun’ Agüero have reached an agreement for the player to join the Club from 1 July when his contract with Manchester City expires,” the club stated.
The La Liga giants went further to confirm the buyo out clause inserted in the two years deal he signed with them.
“The player will sign a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season and his buy out clause is set at 100 million euros,” the club added.
