Three Potential Managers Bayern Munich Could Appoint as Thomas Tuchel's Replacement

Bayern Munich Directors Rush to Secure New Manager Before End of Season Following Announcement of Thomas Tuchel’s Departure After Two Seasons

The former Chelsea manager announced that he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of this season after a series of bad results at the club. Tuchel led the Bavarians to winning the league months after he was appointed as the manager of the club in March 2023.

Bayern Munich suffered three defeats in the space of eight days was key in Tuchel’s decision to leave the club.

Who are the possible replacements for Thomas Tuchel?

(1) Xabi Alonso:

The former Liverpool player who is currently doing wonders at Bayer Leverkusen is the name on everyone around the world as a possible replacement for Thomas Tuchel or Jurgen Klopp in Liverpool.

The success he is enjoying in the Bundesliga with Leverkusen may see him want to test his strength at another club going into next season. Bayern will hope they can do enough to convince him to stay back in Germany next season.

(2) Jose Mourinho:

If there is any manager who loves testing the waters around, then it is Jose Mourinho having won titles in England, Germany and Spain. The Portuguese international whose profile currently fits Bayern Munich could be at the dugout at the Allianz Arena next season (2024/25).

Mourinho is currently without a job, Bayern Munich will not have to do too much if they are interested in bringing him to the club. It will also be a reunion between himself and Harry Kane with the duo having both worked together at Tottenham.

(3) Hansi Flick:

Bayern Munich might not mind a last dance with their former manager who recently led them to winning a treble before he left to manage the German national team.

If they decide to re-hire Flick then this will be the second time they will be going to their old manager after being willing to revert back to the past with managers. They re-hired upp Heynckes back in October 2017 after he had left in 2013.
