Peter Obi strongly condemned the killing of Oyibo, claiming that human lives should remain precious at all times. He stated that the actions of the killers were deeply depressing and that we must not continue to thread this path as a nation.

Enough of the killings, now is the time for healing,” he wrote. “I sincerely condole with the bereaved family, the Enugu East Senatorial Zone and our dear Labour Party family, for this painful loss.”

He called on the law enforcement agencies to take swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure that Nigerians can freely exercise their civic duties without intimidation.

Peter Obi also noted that the loss of Oyibo Chukwu was a huge blow to the Labour Party and its supporters. He offered his prayers and condolences to the family, and expressed his unwavering commitment to fighting for justice for Oyibo and all victims of violence.

 

In his words, Peter Obi said, “We must continue to stand up and fight against the senseless acts of violence and injustice in our country. We must all stand firmly and united to ensure that human lives remain precious at all times.”
