Erik ten Hag’s side are expected to sign new players this summer in a bid to strengthen their squad ahead of next season after finishing in the top four positions last season.

Asked to name his ‘dream’ defensive signing, Ferdinand opted for Chelsea defender Levi Colwill, who spent last season on loan at Brighton.

“If I could get him, my dream one would be [Levi] Colwill, on-loan at Brighton from Chelsea,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.
